Has anyone used them on the pellet cookers?
I have been considering them for the Memphis Pro and have a few questions.
The Memphis pro has 3 setting for ''open flame'' cooking.
The thing is REALLY cranking out some heat on the open flames settings and I wonder if covering the top of the pellet pot is going to get things way too hot or effect the operation of the grill.
Second question is do the grill grates effect the end results when Open flame grilling?
I'm a dog and burger guy and love the char on a hamburger. Do you lose that with the grill grates because they cover the open flame?

Some flame makes it through the perforations in the GG, just not "flare-ups" to speak of. You can still get char on your dogs, especially if you lay them parallel with the grates.
