    Props to MyWeigh

I've had a MyWeigh KD-8000 since 2012 and really like it. Late last year the thin plastic film that covers the buttons cracked due to wear. I call the company to see if I could buy a replacement. They said no, they don't sell what I needed. However, they offered to send me a new scale because it was still under warranty. I said no - it still works fine and I'd figure something out. I wound up putting a piece of 2" clear packing tape on it and was no longer worried about water getting in. It does have a clear plastic shield that flips up so I can push the buttons.

Fast forward to last week and the backlight on the display went out making it hard to read what is on the display. I emailed them and they sent me a new one that arrived today. That's after ~ 9 years folks! Ya can't beat that...

Seriously though RonB that’s unheard of customer service. After 9 years sending you a brand new one? If I was in the market for a scale, I’d buy one of theirs just for that reason alone.

I looked at the warranty card that came with the new scale today. It sez 3 year warranty. I don't remember what the old one said.
