Not to throw a wrench into the timing, then again maybe not. The last week of July is the EAA. There were a few members mentioning that it was on their bucket list. Just wonderin.

Consider the source! And like I put it, only a suggestion.

i'm open to this... Port Washington is home. FYI there is a KCBS contest in Grafton that might be a good venue for a "meatup"

The Experimental Aircraft Association. They are referring to the invariably huge EAA sponsored annual fly in at Oshkosh, WI.

This year, you have the Blue Angels, The 50th anniversary of the Apollo program with appearances by some of the astronauts, and if you are into warbirds, there are some amazing aircraft on the ticket, from rare old bombers and fighters to the new, like the F35 Lots of homebuilts too, along with vendors and workshops galore. Daily airshows are the main draw, IMHO... aerobatics and acrobatics, parachute performers, wing walkers and even a nighttime show.

Long story short, if you love airplanes... this is the place for you.

If you guys were meeting in western Sconi, I would make the drive over the river.

I was also thinkin the same Spinaker. Maybe if we moved inland we could pick off a couple Minnesotans & Iowans. I do'nt think we have any members in Lake Michigan.

Is there interest in this thing or has it been resolved?

I really liked Huskee , Great Lakes - Unsalted! Great shirt idea. One that I had was Fond du Lac - We're #342. Happens to be the 342nd largest city in USA.

You Sconies should do this. It would be a blast if you could all get together. Me and Skip had a great time the other day. Even thought it was just the two of us hanging out, we still had a great time! Like I said earlier, if it were in western Sconi, I would make the drive over.......

As Spinaker said, we had a great time "meating up". I live 2 hours south on the Twin Cities so a little ways for me to come. However, if it worked out I just might show up with Spinaker. You all just plan out what works for most of you members.
