Another great time with Pit friends

David and Teresa and, Mari Jo and I got together again, this time at Billy’s in Roanoke, VA. There’s not many things better than great food and even greater company. Mari Jo and I have eaten at Billy’s multiple times so invited David and Teresa to join us there for dinner, on Saturday night. What a great time we had. The drinks, appetizers and entrees were over the top. Billy’s is a wonderful, casual, fine dining restaurant with an eclectic menu. If you’re in Roanoke, VA, give it a try.



I had a maple glazed pork chop with cheddar mashed potatoes and asparagus.



Mari Jo had red snapper with risotto and asparagus.

We did not get pix of our cocktails, appetizers or wine. We paired our entrees with a 2021 Pat Green Old Vines Pinot Noir.



The Pit is such a great place to make lasting friendships over culinary and gastronomical experiences. Thanks, DavidNorcross for living close enough to celebrate such friendships frequently.

What fun. So enjoyed the time with friends. While food leads us together the friendships clearly become the bond. This is what makes this place so great.

Teresa had crab cakes, cheddar mashed potatoes and asparagus. I had a strip topped with blue cheese over potatoes and asparagus.

Food was amazing but the fellowship was better!
