A very large swath of the country will be able to see the totality. If you are planning to drive to a location where there is totality during the eclipse, I'm casually mentioning that Roy the dog and I will be cooking something in the backyard as the totality occurs around 3 pm local time. If you happen to find yourself in Fishers, IN, send me a message and we can arrange for you to be sitting in a camping chair in my backyard smelling BBQ.
Then after it's over we'll eat whatever Roy decided to cook...

It looks like we’re in the path to be in totality. It’s going to be fun to see the reaction of the birds and deer. I think the daughter in Clifton just listed her guest house as available for renting during the eclipse. They are planning on several people showing up in Clifton for the big show.
