In, we were in NO the week everything shut down in 2020, really sucked when we didn’t have enough toilet paper when we go home.
Have some very good friends from Breaux Bridge who now live on the lake over by New Roads and I’m sure they can suggest some things that have opened up recently. We also took an air boat ride in Breaux Bridge on the way to New Orleans, I’ll have to figure out who we went with after we had issues with our first choice.
We have the largest fleet of custom, covered, stadium style seated airboats in the Atchafalaya Basin. Our swap tours can accomodate to let you and your group expernce Lousiana
These are the guys we ended up with. Bonus there is a bar there as well, but they weren’t open for the 10:00 am tour so I can’t give a review.
Hey Don, thanks for the suggestions. Your friends would be good to hit up for some restaurant recommendations. I’ve never been on an airboat, bet that would be a pretty cool ride.
We used to stay in a hotel in downtown New Roads that would be perfect Morel’s Courtyard Inn. They have 12 or 13 rooms around a courtyard, out one side is a park on the lake and the other end is Main Street.
If this happens, we’ll have plenty of time to plan. I’m kinda leaning towards Lafayette, probably easier to get around and less expensive than New Orleans.
I’ll need to skip this one. I’m blowing my travel budget for the year on the meet up next month. If I hit the lottery before October I’ll squeeze it in. 🙄😉🤣
Yeah, I'm in a similar situation. I've got the NC trip coming in May, and a Decatur, AL/Memphis BBQ trip planned in June with my buddies. If I win the lottery between now and then I'll bank roll your trip to NO :-) I've always wanted to see Panhead John in an orange jumpsuit picking up trash along LA backroads...I guess I'll have to wait for pics on here after the meat up.
