That's fabulous! I can't believe it! Unfortunately, due to the pandemic I haven't used my barbecue very much at all. Living alone, I haven't had many folks over. With the weather getting better, and the pandemic waning (wishful thinking) we should have more opportunities to get together, and more barbecues.

Yes, it is a Kobe jersey. It was signed by all of the team in the year that Dwight Howard and Steve Nash joined the team. Big things were expected, but because of the health of Howard and Nash, they didn't live up to the expectations.

A vacuum sealer (for storage) and an immersion circulator (for reheating) make a lot of what comes out of my cooker eventually get eaten despite the lack of parties.

Congrats on the win--you lucky dog!

I can't believe it! I'm so fortunate to be selected. I'll be ready to resume our family barbecues once the pandemic is behind us. But that will give me time to get used to and break in the Slow ‘N Sear Deluxe Kamado I have chosen. Thanks, AmazingRibs. I have learned a lot from your site and appreciate your great contribution to the world of BBQ.

jfmorris, thanks for the advice. I plan to have it dropped in my garage, right by the door, so I can easily access it for assembly and roll it out for use. Thanks.

Tony sounds like a plan! As a heads up, it is packed in a cardboard crate on a pallet as I recall, with bands that you cut. The cart and other components are in a box separate from the kamado body itself. You can pretty much take that stuff out, assemble the cart, and then you will need a helper to lift about 200 pounds of ceramic off the pallet and place it on the cart. Even if you can lift 200 pounds, it's just too big and ackward to do it yourself without risk of dropping and breaking it.
