And here we are, and I got tired of waiting to win one, and my wife said “you know, for your birthday, order something for yourself from me”, and so now I have one. It was on special from QVC, and with a ‘first-purchase’ $30 discount and taxes, it came to ~$235 shipped, including a pizza peel and fabric cover (not included elsewhere).
It came yesterday. It makes seriously good pizza. I will be trying a number of dough/sauce variants over the next few days, and moving on the smoking and roasting functions.
But so far, I am very impressed.Comment

It's rated to 700ºF / 370ºC. I haven't taken it that far yet, and I'm wondering if I even have a thermometer that's accurate at that range to test it with...
But it has a number of 'smart' programs for pizza, smoking and roasting, but easily allows one to override it and dial in whatever temp and time they want. The 'Neopolitan' pizza mode does 700º for 3 minutes, the 'NY' pizza mode is ~500º for 5 minutes, etc. it'll beep when done, then beep again when it's back to temperature.
