    Wild Fork - What Happened??

I have ordered from Wild Fork in the past, and had the orders shipped here to the Pacific NW. Not cheap but I got some very nice products. I still have a couple of their lamb racks in the freezer.

Last Christmas my wife got me a $250 Gift Certificate and was told that an order that size would qualify for free shipping. I was a bit dubious, but....

I'm finally at a place where I have room for a new order, and it seems that they don't serve my area at all now! I can't even add items to my Cart based on my zip code.

What happened? Did they quit shipping altogether?

Well not the gift card part, but I also used to be able to order from Wild Fork, they no longer ship to my house in Wisconsin. Having the gift card part would be very disheartening in this circumstance.

I believe they basically went brick and mortar so delivery is just for those who live close to stores so they can perform the deliveries themselves. How far to the closest store are you so you can collect on that gift card?

I'm in the Seattle area, and the closest stores are in the greater Los Angeles area, 1200 road miles away.

BruceB I live in Los Angeles. PM me and you can try my address to see if they deliver and then we can work from there??

That stinks. I use to order from them frequently when you could pay $99 for the year to get free shipping on orders over $50 (I think it was $99, could have been less). Then about a year ago I went to order and they stopped that perk and went with free shipping over $200 I think. Just now I went to the site to see if they are still shipping to my zip code and nope. I got this: SORRY, WE DON’T DELIVER TO 27284
We only serve select areas right now, but are working hard to expand our coverage

Maybe they are working on new logistics?

I used to pay like 4 - 6 dollars a month to be a “member” which gave free shipping over 35 dollars.

I did this as well, but they quickly opened a,store close by. Bummer you can't get it shipped.

Has anyone contacted them and asked for a refund on the gift cards? Seems like they legally ought to make good on those cards?

I had emailed their Customer Service earlier today, and I'm waiting for a reply. I thought I would see what others have experienced with Wild Fork.

I might be tempted to call them and have a conversation that involves mentioning the BBB...

I am 20-25 minutes from a Wild Fork store, but I haven’t been overwhelmed by their products. I can do as well at my local supermarket on traditional items, but if there was a unusual item I wanted they would be in consideration.

        +1 and I’m only 10-15 minutes away.
We have Sam’s, Walmart, Costco, BJ’s, Publix, Aldi, Winn Dixie, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Sprouts, and the Dollar Store. All within 15-20 minutes. I’m missing a few, I’m sure. 😂

Maybe shipping problems too. Here it usually takes an extra day to arrive so we never order perishables. They should refund your money as they have changed their systems.

I am very fortunate that here in the Milwaukee, WI area, there’s a store just across town. Farther than I prefer to drive but they deliver next day to my door. I also am a member of their Unlimited Club so shipping is free. After just three orders, I break even on the membership fee. I order a minimum of once per month so it works out well for me. Again, I’m fortunate. I love their meats and pricing.

          According to AI……

Yes, Wild Fork (https://www.facebook.com/groups/Smok...3739915574781/) has stopped delivering to certain areas that are far from their stores due to rising operational costs. This is part of a larger strategy to shift focus towards opening more physical store locations, which will also support local delivery options. Some customers who previously received nationwide shipping have reported being cut off from delivery services, such as those in Central NY and the San Francisco area.

          • Reason for discontinuation: Rising operational costs have made it increasingly challenging for Wild Fork to offer affordable delivery to all areas, especially those far from their stores.

          • New strategy: The company is shifting its focus to opening more physical store locations to better serve communities in person and with local delivery options.

          • Customer impact: Many customers have reported receiving notifications that they can no longer have orders delivered to their addresses, including those in previously served regions like Central NY and the San Francisco area.

          • Membership changes: Wild Fork (https://pitmaster.amazingribs.com/fo...mbership-model) had also suspended new Unlimited memberships in all Next Day Air and UPS Ground Shipping zones effective February 1, 2024, further impacting customers in these regions.

          • Current availability: To check if delivery is available in your area, you should update your postal code on the Wild Fork website (https://www.wildfork.ca/en-CA/faq/).

            Well that sucks.
Fortunately there is a brick and mortar about 8 miles from me so shipping is not a concern.

Hopefully they make good on your gift card.

I’d check to see if you can refund the gift card. Barring that, maybe someone would buy it? I’d be game, but the nearest WF to me is in Philadelphia, about 2 hours.

Wild Fork very politely offered a full refund without my prompting.

                      Here is their explanation:

I am truly sorry for the confusion and extreme inconvenience these recent changes to our delivery service have caused you, especially since you have a generous gift card and live in an area we previously serviced (Zip Code 98198 in Washington State). I understand your frustration; it must feel terrible to have a gift card you cannot use. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these significant changes.

We originally sent out communications regarding these changes on May 30, 2025, to inform our valued customers of the upcoming transitions in our delivery program.

Here is a breakdown of how these changes affected our shipping partners and service areas like yours:
                      • Roadie Local Deliveries (from our facilities in Boston and Oakland): This service ended on June 7, 2025.
                      • UPS Deliveries (servicing all other delivery zones): This service unfortunately ended earlier, on June 1, 2025.

Due to the discontinuation of both the Roadie and UPS delivery programs, we no longer have a shipping partner that services your area, which is why your zip code is now blocked at checkout.
