I love Walleye but, of course, no one carries it in Oklahoma. I have heard of some places in the Great Lakes region that ship frozen fish and I would appreciate your sharing your experiences in ordering from them. Thanks!

How much ya lookin' for? I have some in the freezer.
I all seriousness, I have no idea. Being from MN, we just go out and catch it. I know that is not a possibility for you, which is why you are asking
. Um.....I would try the Red lake reservation in northern MN.. They sell a ton of walleye through out the midwest. (Part of the reason their fishery collapses every 3-5 years, but that's another argument)
I would start here. Red Lake Fishery

Try fishing Canton lake in western Okla. There are enough walleye in it they have a walleye rodeo every year. I agree that walleye is the best fish I’ve ever eaten.

smokenoob I tell people I would never pay that for fish, that I just catch my own. In reality if you figure in the boat and all the latest greatest stuff for it, the tackle, the pickup, and fuel $20.00 a pound is a steal.

As long as it's your own private body of water trotlines, jug lines, and yoyos can put a lot of catfish in a cooler quickly and cheaply.Last edited by texastweeter; January 2, 2025, 11:33 PM.

Here is a link to a fishery here in Michigan not far from my house on Lake Huron. They sell and ship walleye. https://whytesfishery.com/collection...9VpJ2Us6gkRwUt

I've used Walleyedirect.com several times for walleye and perch. Excellent quality and service. In the bulk pack the fillets are vacuum-packed in 1 lb. packages, and keep nice for a long time in the freezer. They are wild caught in Canada. They have a variety of fish from smelt to salmon, mostly freshwater fish. If you get on their email list you can take advantage of sale prices, and they won't inundate you with emails.

cruiseplanner1 and Smoke em if you got em I checked out several places and found pretty much the same at each. Minimum orders were $75 which is okay but shipping to our zone was $75. which is way too much.
I don't mind paying for a good product but I really balk at high shipping prices! It effectively makes buying online too expensive.
Maybe fuel prices will drop this coming year and shipping will become reasonable again.
