    Some kind of substitute for linguica?

    Got a package of this at Costco a few weeks back and haven't seen it the last 2 times I've been there.

    I made a breakfast hash out of this - The Wife has actually mentioned it THREE TIMES now that she would like me to add that to this year's Christmas morning brunch.


    But I can't find any more linguica anywhere. And ordering online it appears I either can't get it in time from places on Amazon, plus who knows how good it will be, plus it's expensive as hail.

    Anything else I can look for with a reasonably similar flavor/texture profile?

    I really enjoyed this - I've always wanted to try longaniza sausage, too. But similar issues - just not something I see or probably can find around here. I actually suspect the longaniza might go better in my 'Christmas hash'. I do see a longaniza dominicana (Filipino version - is this similar?) I can get on the 'Zon, for $42 for 2 pounds that supposedly will be here in 2 days. Maybe that's a good idea?

    Actually - this now says cured and dried - which makes me think more like harder snack sticks and stuff - not what I'm looking for. I want more like a kielbasa texture.
