Oh man. That sucks! My guess is too much loss to summer transport. I know i will definitely be calling them in the colder months to see if they are willing to ship.

That is tough. I am just cooking one of their bavettes tomorrow. Hopefully they will take orders again in the fall or perhaps phone orders?

I didn’t even get an email about this.

Yeah, I just clicked on their site to see if they were still running the 30% off deal, and that's how I discovered it.

Now that I think about it, haven’t anything from them in a while.

Yeah, they lost too much money, or had a rift with the processor who was packing and shipping for them, due to the losses.

This is a shame, but they should have packed better and charged a little more on the shipping if they needed too. For me it means back to Porter Road...

What's been your experience with Porter Road brisket? I tried on a couple of months ago and found it flavorful but dry and somewhat tough. Is that typical?

JHB I've never bought a brisket online. I get those locally, so no advice for you there. Online I've mostly gone with things I can't find locally like tri-tip.

Support your local economy. After all, you live there.

It's difficult, but not impossible, to get buffalo in the middle of Massachusetts. I have not tried any butcher facilities online. Looked. But never wanted to buy 100lbs of anything every once a month

Huskee, nope. I have never gotten one. I have checked my spam folder just now, plus before when I was looking into this. Nothing there. Weird. But I’d like to get it.

Huskee That’s crazy! It probably got caught up in the drag net of decluttering my life by unsubscribing to all promotional emails I did back then. I really appreciate you helping me sort it out. I got the email and re-subscribed. Thank you.

Hmmm... that sounds more permanent than "suspends." Glad I grabbed a nice brisket on sale while I could. Even mine was a second attempt to get one to me.

Is it weird that I'm kind of scared to cook this brisket? I mean, what if it's incredible and I can't ever get another one? 😫

Yeah, I would have to use one of those other sources. And Click probably isn't discernably better than other Akaushi producers. Click just had good prices for the quality of meat, and that's a big deal to me.

That's too bad, but they cut their profits by having stuff on sale a lot and then skimped on packaging so my sympathy is limited.

Also, I'm sure as hell not a vegan but I think if you're going to kill something for food, you owe it respect and they kind of failed at that.

Very disappointing. I'm wondering if the drought is also having an effect on production. I have one of their flank steaks dry brining right now.

We’ve only had about 7 inches of rain here this year, they may have thinned the heard to the point there aren’t any left to sell.

A few months ago I noticed a sign going through Marble Falls, I thought and was hoping they may be opening a retail place. After a few weeks the sign came down and I never saw anything in open up in the little strip mall where it was.

One brisket, one chuck, and one tri tip left. The last three things in the freezer we need to eat before we submit a request to have it repaired. I guess I’ll have to savor them even more.

I e-mailed Click today and they said there were several reasons for their decision including (but not limited to):

The drought, supply chain is immature in our region for e-commerce, the shortfalls of the national carriers, & inflation makes it a struggle.

Click did thank the AmazingRibs members for their support over the past year.

Just gonna say I missed it as well. I scan for new posts multiple times a day that I can add my witty comments that everyone wants and loves, but it didn't ever show up in my most recent posts feed. I think I should add a witty comment, but the best I can come up with is... what a bummer..

Mmmm! Their outside skirt steak is the best. If you were a little closer, I’d be proposing some kind of trade for that.
