I’m a little torn on this one. 5lbs works out to $33/lb for untrimmed (and make no mistake, trimming one of these is a PITA), 7lbs works out to a much more reasonable $24/lb. Plus there will be a lot of odd stuff, the chain muscle or whatever you call it, the tail, etc.

IDK. It’s there for the taking. We probably have a week or so, this one isn’t selling out by tomorrow or anything.

I have to say, Creekstone is my favorite internet retailer. I’ve gotten great product a lot of places, but Creekstone is where I feel most confident.

Thanks for posting this. I see where you're coming from. I'll have to pass on this as I need to reduce my freezer inventory before I buy anymore meat. The weekend's memorial cook will help some, but not enough to warrant the purchase.

About 6 weeks ago Wegman’s (our local high quality supermarket) had prime angus tenderloins, trimmed, on sale reduced to somewhere in the mid-$20/lb, I want to say $25? $27? And man, I stood in front of them for the longest time before walking past, I finally thought, "That will come back around." It hasn’t, yet.

I signed up for butcher box a couple of years ago. Very good rib-eyes but then I ordered some cowboy steaks from Creekstone. Holy cow 🐄. Unbelievable. Canceled butcher box when I bought the ribeye roast sale they had last month. I sliced them Into 1.5 inch steaks. I grilled 3 of them a few weeks ago any wife and kids said it was awesome. No leftovers. Love Creekstone. But not necessarily beef tenderloin though I could buy it now for the holidays and freeze. But I don’t t have room. Thanks for posting though.
