    Wild Fork Super Bowl Woes

    Not a major catastrophe on my end, but I tried to call for assistance with an order and there were 60+ people on the hold line in front of me. Hung up and fired off an e-mail instead.

    I ordered some wings and other stuff for Sunday and a few other random things. Wings showed up in their own box, everything else in a larger box. Larger box the tape was cut, upon opening the dry ice was all gone, but everything was still solidly frozen... but some sushi grade salmon I'd ordered was MIA. Not sure if it fell out, was stolen, or just never packed in the box.

    Everything else I got looked great, the Picanha looks amazing compared to the last one I got from 'em. Got a beautiful hunk of tuna for sushi, a nice frenched rack of pork, some lamb steaks, and the wings are all uniform from what I can tell. So big improvement from my last order.

      I'm guessing it's an uptick in superbowl buyers, tomorrows the deadline to get stuff mail order if it's fully frozen. Though I suspect they have a lot of business because they have things my grocery store has been out of for months, and I can't be the only one.

    I have a 5 pound bag of wing sections from WF defrosting for the big game! Hoping the weather allows for cooking them outside with smoke. You never know around here this time of year.

    Sorry to hear you’re having issues with WF. They’ve always been terrific in my experience. I’m sure they’ll take care of it for you.

      Sorry if the post looks like I'm having problems, they had an oops or a theft. I have my wings so no big deal. The post was more to highlight how busy they are before Sunday.

    Just a follow up, I should have just used their on hold call back feature, but email resolution says it'll be 3-5 days before this gets resolved. They must be swamped.

      We recently had our local FedEx depot manager sentenced to federal prison for stealing 3 million dollars worth of goods from Amazon packages. With the cost of meat being what it is I don’t doubt that a package sent from Wild Fork would be targeted for theft. No serial numbers and easily disposed of before the authorities could get a search warrant.😋

      Hoping all works out- store bought wings near me is not impressive. Going to break tradition this year and go with chicken legs and thighs.

      And a month later after hounding them weekly.... they better do a LOT more than just send me my missing item from my order or I'm done with them.

      I suspect they're suffering "growing pains" along with the woes that seem to impact business staffing universally. I used to be a very happy regular with them for over a year until near the end of '21. Their quality control has really fallen short. Some things were consistently good, but the heritage pork products kept declining with more fat than lean, poor cutting on the part of the processor, or way off advertised weight (by 50%). I quit opening their email "special offers" after about 5-6 times in a row when I'd try to order I'd get the "out of stock" reply. It doesn't matter to me what the reasons are (real or opportunistic), when a vendor can't or won't supply whatever they promise they don't deserve patronage.

      Wow, how unfortunate. I only have 1 experience with them, I ordered 3 large salmon fillets and a couple lbs of scallops. It all came in the day I picked, it was secured good and frozen so hard it hurt my hands as I transferred it to the freezer. The dry ice was gone in mine too but didn't matter.

      From all the good I've heard about them I suspect they will take good care of you but it is rather shocking it's taken so long.

        yeah that's what is bumming me out. This is the 3rd order I've done with them and the first time I've had problems. Their meat isn't much better than Walmart but they have cuts I normally can't get and also their wings have been a very good value. But every time I call its 40-80 people in front of me on the que, and I'm not waiting around all day for a call back. Usually online communication is faster... yet not in this case

      You are much more patient than I am. By now, I probably would have sent an email threatening a class action law suit if my problem wasn't resolved in X days.Those do tend to get the seller's attention. But they pretty much destroy any chance of ordering from that company again.

        And they're not credible. No one is suing over some lost meat and threatening a 'class action' suit is... no. Even a single hour of the attorney's fee is more than any likely order value.

        At some point I just cut my losses (my time and energy has value) and move on, never ordering from the company again.

        PS: This kind of thing is one of the reasons I don't bother with online butchers. I get that some people don't live where they have options, but I do and just don't need this kind of hassle.

      Still waiting... I went off on them on their FB account... digging through posts since before my order it seems I'm not alone in this problem. Some of the posts they responded to, some they never have... Regardless of the outcome, I'm done with this company.

      When I called today there were over 80 calls ahead of me... I just can't sit around for hours waiting on a call back at a random time... but maybe I'll do that tomorrow while I'm cleaning my garage.

        If all else fails, if you used a credit card, open a complaint with your credit card company and at least get a refund.

        Finally got support... "oh well that item wasn't fulfilled, so we didn't charge you for that, sorry you didn't get an email"... that's it? No sorry for your trouble? I told them they lost my business forever.


        So anyway I go back through my emails to verify... well all I got was a shipping notification BUT if you click on "view order details" you get sent to a page with a picture of everything, on the right is the price breakdown which in my case was 149.31 and that is the price of everything I ordered. Then at the bottom of the screen is the shipping details.... BUT if you scroll way down further there's an unfulfilled item, which is my salmon... why would I scroll past the shipping notification when the items and price are all there and the have the tracking info link to the shipment? Supposedly they send a separate unfulfilled item email, but I never got that for sure.

        The guy who finally answered the phone was very nice and polite and stuff, and I wasn't a prick to him... Regardless, their lack of customer service has lost me as a customer for life (unless they open up a retail store near me, maybe)
