I was getting worried but Jesse Jones LLC (we have a road here named Jones Sausage Rd that my wife gets a kick out of everytime we pass) has bought them out, and is fixing the problems and cranking out the goods again

That's great news! I've been worried about them, and missing Neese's on the shelves. Bass is a decent substitute, but still prefer Neese's.

Panhead John Neese's all day, doesn't look like you can get it in TX but maybe that will change with the new owner (unlikely). I honestly kinda wish I'd never discovered the stuff, I did used to love the JD breakfast stuff.. still get the links often, but for ground it's hard to beat Neese's and it's not a subtle difference

ItsAllGoneToTheDogs Bass is a good sub for us if we can't get Neese's. Panhead John Jimmy Dean will do if I can't find something local, but they don't really compare.

It was always Neese’s on all my family tables including grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles growing up. Glad their sausages with the original recipes will be back.
