    The Butchers Corner, Goldsboro

A new meat supplier in my area. It's a smaller store, but they have some stuff I haven't seen in stores around here before. More importantly the staff is not only friendly, they take pride in their shop. Everything is faced on the shelves!

Once they find their stride I'll have to see if they will special order things.

The spices were amazing, specifically the green freeze dried herbs almost looked fresh they were so vibrant.

That's cool. 158 yards (onX Crow flying) from me is a store like that with Frog Legs, lotta freshly cut steaks, etc...

Meat Markets like that are wonderful. Luckily we have a few around my area.

until recently if a new place in town popped up it was a chain steakhouse, a boring fast food joint, or a carwash & always opened across the street from an existing business of that same type. In the last few months though we've got this nice little meat market, 2 Indian places, a Jamaican place, a Tapas place, and a high end farm shop (that's nice but honestly kinda too pricey). I'll be going to this place often, the selection was good and prices were in line w/ wally world with higher quality

The spices we stocked up on

(can freeze dried stuff look fresh? Well, I guess so!)

This reinforces my interest in going local as much as possible. With the 2 of us, we are not consuming huge amounts, so cost is not as much of an issue. Local asparagus is now available, outstanding. Bought some 4 days ago, did not even notice the price.

I spy some delicious hoop cheese on that middle shelf. That's nice you have a local spot like that to go. Goldsboro is really growing up. My company has a local branch over there that one of the partner's runs (Oak Tree Finance, LLC).
