This place is dangerous - Wild Fork -

About 6 months ago I posted that a Wild Fork store opened near me, very near me, like 15 minutes near me.
Did I mention that they were close by?🤔
Well life’s crazy and I hadn’t had a chance to check it out, actually forgot about it 🤦🏼, that is until today. And let me tell ya, I might be moving in. 😂
This place has everything, and I mean everything on their website in the store. You name it, they have it.
Sooo I picked up just a small sampling of what they have.
Chicken wings, full and sections, an Angus cowboy ribeye 2.77lbs, flanken ribs, spare ribs, scallops, shrimp, 73% ground beef-where can you find that, some other things to. Heck even got a cheesecake, why not 😁
Now I just need to decide what to try first. If the quality is as good as everyone says this ain’t a home run it’ll be a Grand Slam.
Welp here’s a few pics I took before my brain, what little is left, got completely scrambled.

I did a sampling of some of their stuff at their store 30 minutes or so from my house. I agree they have everything anyone could want. However, I was not overwhelmed, so I would be interest in your analysis as to whether I would reconsider if I should make another trip.

Good to know. Once I get through most of these things I’ll give an update.

I echo your sentiment. I ordered one of their picana and it was more fat than meat. Many of their cuts are pretty small when you actually see them.

Same with the one near here. Some is good, some not-so. They all look identical, so you won't feel lost.

Yeah but I don't see any Outside Skirt on the list.

Get me the P# on that chicken. It will say something like P-7044.

Steve B not really, just a way to keep up with who is who. I forgot JBS owned Wild Fork, the P34176 came from JBS Lenoir, Inc. In North Carolina.

53 & 109 miles and that 53 might as well be 109 miles fer where it is, which I never go to the vicinity even. We do have a Sloppy Spoon somewhere nearby though.

I’m a Wild Fork Foods lover. I’ve been buying from them for a few years now. Prices are Costco or better, quality is terrific. Plus I am an Unlimited Club member. So although there is a retail store about 30 minutes from me, I still order for free delivery. Order by noon, delivered before noon the next day. Outstanding every time.

I wish we had a physical store nearby, I just can't trust their mail order in a pinch due to past experience but maybe they've improved their e-commerce communication since the last time I used 'em.

LBC is getting a new Wild Forks store soon down by the Marina, PCH and 2nd Street. Can hardly wait till they open their doors!

I used to order from them regularly and even paid for premium membership for free shipping over $50. Unfortunately they don't offer that anymore for my part of the state. I have to order $200 minimum for free shipping. Just not worth it. Their food quality is definitely top notch.

A store opened near my office earlier this year. I am impressed. I've got several things in the freezer, but, so far, have actually cooked a prime brisket, prime NY strips, and Berkshire pork chops (boneless and bone-in). The brisket was excellent. The strips were solid, but I like the strips I get from my local butcher at least as well if not better. The pork was very good, but I haven't had much heritage pork lately, so can't really compare it to anything in my head.

That place Looks wonderful. It's a vegan nightmare.
Do they have adult beverages? AKA PBR LOL
But, but New York is on the East Coast, and Oregon is on the West Coast

                    Sorry no PBR.
Everything is frozen so I guess moving things around the country is not an issue.

Prime Cowboy Ribeye - $9.98/lb for $30/3 lbs (yup, that's one steak)
New York strip choice Angus - $13.48/lb for $33/2.45 lbs (2 steaks in the pack)
Short Rib plate choice Angus - $9.98/lb for $68.46/6.86 lbs (trimmed)
Chicken Wings whole - $8 for 1 bag package (I need to look at the qty in the bag)

Steve B There are 6 whole wings, drumette, middle section and wing tip. 2.5 lbs for $8.00. Seems like a pretty good deal to me. The only caveat is that they are treated with a 15% solution of chicken broth, sea salt and something called Carageenan. I know nothing about that last idea.

Carrageenans or carrageenins (/ˌkærəˈɡiːnənz/ KARR-ə-GHEE-nənz; from Irish carraigín 'little rock') are a family of natural linear sulfated polysaccharides. They are extracted from red edible seaweeds. Carrageenans are widely used in the food industry, for their gelling, thickening, and stabilizing properties. Their main application is in dairy and meat products, due to their strong binding to food proteins.

Yeah, that’s what I thought, BIG wings.
Not sure what that seaweed stuff is supposed to do either. 🤷🏼

This week’s special. I think it’s about $2.00 off regular price.
Will probably pick up a case of these bad boys.
