    BBQ cuts in Australia

    Does anyone know where to find BBQ cuts in Melbourne specifically Beef Brisket and Pork Butt?

    I've been able to get a whole packer brisket at my local halal butcher before by showing him a picture/diagram but he doesn't always have it available and not sure of the quality (although it turned out great).

    Never been able to find pork butt only collar butt and scotch.

    Do you have friends close buy that also BBQ, not trying to be a smart as# but you might get your butcher to get meat by the case. There usually about 80 lbs. Or more 5 to 7 packers for brisket, if he can get it that way you could split it up with your mates and they are cry vacked so the will last 45 to 50 days from pack date in the fridge if you have a extra fridge in the garage and your wife will allow you to fill the fridge with big hunks of meat.

      Hi there,

      Yes, if you're in Melbourne then there's a great butcher called Meatsmith that sells a range of BBQ cuts including brisket.
      They've got a whole section on their site right now actually specifically about barbequing which could be useful for you.
      I'm a fan of their scotch filletmyself, it's from Gippsland Victoria and goes great on the barbeque!
