If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
Thanks for sharing. Some of the items in that obituary do indeed make me think that Terrence and I were long lost distant cousins. I know for a fact that part of the Morris clan left East Tennessee and headed out to the Kansas and Missouri areas at one point about 100 years ago, from family tree research I've done in the past. I also have a bunch of Morris cousins up in Michigan as well.
I just wish I were close enough to drop in for that memorial service.
Being a new member, I did not really have much, if any, interaction with him, but it seems he is very well renowned amongst the regulars.
I will drink a toast to his honor on that date, at that time...

Like last time, the date can be fluid, I think; although we use the rotation of the earth to mark time, time itself is fluid, and an illusion. Let’s get as much smoke in the air as we can on that day, and let’s keep the definition of "day" to ourselves.
As Mosca said the date is not the priority. It's the remembrance of Bonesy. If you want, do what you can when you can. I have nothing on the 26th. So I'll plan on something. It will be done on the Kettle.
I might be able to do a quick cook that night, say burgers or steak, but nothing beyond that as I'll be away at fish camp and coming home that evening.
I of course love smoked meats of all kinds, but also like quick cooks like chicken portions, pork tenderloins, steak and fish. Really into cooking of all kinds.
My outdoor kitchen has a Lone Star Grillz Adjustable and it is wonderful. There also is a Pit Boss 5 Burner Ultimate Griddle and a Pit Boss Copperhead pellet grill.
There is an outdoor fire pit that has grilling capability and limited Santa Maria-style grill raising and lowering.

Agreed. Mosca This would be another great way to celebrate our dear friend Bonsey.
I think if we can pull this off and get it posted to his memorial on that day, mostly for his family, it will give his whole family some sort of comfort. Knowing how special he was, not just to them, but to sooo many others.
I can only wonder if they knew how much of an impact he had on us here in the pit.
Still can’t believe Bones is gone. Nearly every post I read I can imagine what his comments might be. From his encouraging welcome posts for new members to his insight on techniques learned along the way to his delightful sense of humor fitting for any situation.
Never had the pleasure of meeting him in person, but from everything I’ve gleaned from our interactions and his presence here over the years he was one amazing human. If there were more folks like Mr Bones the world would be a better place.
