Been lurking here for a couple weeks so I will do some intro. Born and raised in upstate NY - Oswego. Did 10 years in USCG and loved my last duty in Seattle. Here since 71, so I guess I qualify as a legacy citizen. Got out of CG on a Friday and started at the VA the next Monday. 35 years helping vets and retired in 09.
Grew up smelling italian sausage and peppers grilled by my Dad and Uncles at every family picnic. Hardcore griller since the 60's, but only doing actual BBQ since my retirement. Can't believe all the fantastic info on this site - Thank you all.
Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.
