    Hi from Simi Valley, CA

    Hi all,

I live just outside of LA County in Ventura County and have been smoking meat for 25 years now. I have an offset smoker which cost $189 22 years ago. You should have seen me putting it into the backseat of my Honda Civic before I got it home and assembled it. I made some mods as suggested on this site and it has turned out some pretty good meals over the years. At least I and my family like them. I also have a gas grill and weber kettle. I've been lurking on this site and like the combination of science and cooking, since I'm an engineer and love to eat. So now I joined up and am looking forward to learning and sharing.

    My best to all,
    Bruce

The Good-One Is A Superb Grill And A Superb Smoker All In One

The Good-One Open Range is dramatically different from a traditional offset smoker. By placing the heat source behind and under the smokebox instead of off to the side, Open Range produces even temperature from left to right, something almost impossible to achieve with a standard barrel shaped offset.

The flat top does the burgers and the fryer does the fries. Use the griddle for bacon, eggs, and home fries. Or pancakes, fajitas, grilled cheese, you name it. Why stink up the house deep frying and spatter all over? Do your fried chicken and calamari outside. Blackstone's Rangetop Combo With Deep Fryer does it all!
