Hello From Salem, OR
I just joined this morning. I have been barbecuing for quite a few years now. What started has a hobby has grown into a very serious hobby. I entered a barbecue contest about four years ago with my new wife on a dare from a coworker.Unbeknownst to us we were lucky enough to win the grand champion position and came home with the Traeger. This has lead to a lot more types of cooking on more types of grills and smokers. We entered a few more contests and did well. Now my wife and I cook for ourselves and close friends. I aways visit this site before cooks for refreshing and new ideas and techniques. We have two smokers, one combination smoker / grill and a kamodo style grill along with a gas grill. We are done for awhile lol. Tomorrow a 13lb brisket will be attempted for Father's Day. I look forward to all the cool stuff and stories.Tags: None
