I'm a RN and project manager. While working at a local hospital a good friend, who has since passed away (way too early), would bring a Boston butt on special occasions. I could not get enough. I started "ordering" a couple each time he mentioned that he was going to smoke. Then I started talking to him on how to do it. I then took to the web looking for sources and education.
I had a, and still do, 22" Weber. I found a web site, maybe you've heard of it, AmazingRibs.com. One of the products they recommended was a Smokenator. I got one and got hooked. Honestly, I read through the entire site and started my journey.
That was about 8 years ago and I have become the official BBQ guy for the family and friends.
