Howdy from north Florida!
I've been fairly serious about Qing for many years. I've perfected a few of my on recipes, and I'm always looking for new ones to test my skills, with AmazingRibs.com playing a big part. I have a Meadow Creek stick burner, a Pit Boss Pellet Smoker, a Masterbuilt electric smoker, a Chargriller gas grill, and a 22' Weber kettle. I live in the country where running out to get something for dinner is really inconvenient, so with a steady supply of fresh meat from our local small town butcher, I am always smoking or grilling something. What's my favorite you might ask? Well, I'd say it's a tie between burnt ends and homemade bacon. My wife always supports my "cooking habit". After all, she gets to eat without cooking.Tags: None

Welcome to the Pit from another country dweller in the Okanogan Valley of Washington state. At present my wife, who was born and raised in South Florida, is there visiting her mum.
Along with tips, techniques, and recipes about BBQ we have a lot of fun.

I cook on a 15-year-old Kamado #9, a huge beast nearly 6 feet tall and with black ceramic tile on the outside. I of course love smoked meats of all kinds, but also like quick cooks like chicken portions, pork tenderloins and fish. Really into cooking of all kinds. Just added an outdoor fire pit that has grilling capability and limited Santa Maria-style grill raising and lowering.

Welcome to the Pit. I did a 5 year stretch in Jacksonville until I got the go-ahead to move back home to the PNW a year and a half ago. Can't say I enjoyed living in Florida but it is where I took my bbq game up a few notches.
