    Greetings From SoCal

I'm located in the South Bay area of SoCal where finding good BBQ is challenging at best. I've been smoking/grilling/BBQ-ing for about 3 years now and am always looking to challenge myself to up my game, which is why I'm here.

My obsession for this hobby started with a vertical gas smoker that I used to smoke anything that I could get my hands on from ribs to clams to corn on the cob to cheese. From there, I got a better/larger gas grill, which then lead me to a Kamado Joe to get the more authentic BBQ taste. One of my prize grills is a Santa Maria style wood burning grill with two adjustable grates. I can't that I prefer using any one of them, but they all definitely have their place.

I'm really looking forward to learning from everyones experiences and advice and hope I can bring my cooking to the next level.

    Thanks
    Glenn

Welcome to the Pit GC. I'm from Hermosa Beach. You've come to the right place to learn new things to up your BBQ game. We're a bunch of pyromaniac's that like keeping our fire hot. We've all learned many new things being a member of the Pit and we are willing to answer any question we feel qualified to talk about. I've been thinking I ought to buy a Santa Maria grill. Have fun and send pictures.
