Hi Everyone. I'm Gavin. I lived most of my life in Seattle but moved to Tucson in 2018.
I have been interesting in grilling and BBQ my whole life. I started with Weber grills, then discovered Q on the Weber Smokey Mountain cooker. I bought a Kamado Joe Classic a few years ago and it changed everything. I cook outdoors several times a week.

Here are some of my favorite meat activities. This site has been very helpful for most of them already:

• Dry aging beef at home
• Homemade bacon
• Brining and cooking chicken on the rotisserie
• Searing burgers and steaks on a soapstone
• Occasional sous vide and pressure-cooker
• Sausage making

I'm happy to be part of this group. I love the book, "Meathead". I'm excited to use this site without the ads!
