After 3 years of no grilling due to living in rental accommodation where grills weren’t permitted, we’re finally in a home where I can grill again. All my previous grilling experience was in Minnesota on a Weber kettle with charcoal, which I liked just fine and with which I got good results. Due to fire concerns in our new location, I’m switching to gas and my new gas grill (a Saber) is coming next week. I found AmazingRibs.com as part of my searching online reviews of gas grills and the more I read through the site, the more it reminded me of CooksIllustrated.com (where I’ve been a member for 15+ years) which is high praise from me. I plan to become a more frequent griller (although likely only once or twice per week, which I realize is nothing compared to many of the members here!) and am excited for all the help this community can give me in making outdoor cooked food a fun and very tasty part of our lives.

Current line-up of cookers: Oklahoma Joe's Bronco Pro, Masterbuilt Gravity Series 1050, Blackstone ProSeries 4 Burner 36" griddle, Weber Performer Deluxe and Weber Smokey Joe.
I was on business in nearby Prescott Valley a few years ago. Got busted by a speed trap radar camera and t-boned by a hit and run driver in the same drive back to the hotel. Good times! Welcome to the Pit!

Welcome from Phoenix. The wife and I enjoy taking a drive up to Prescott once in a while during the summer to escape the heat (or at least the extreme heat anyways). Not sure how long you've been there, but with about a 45min to 1hr drive from Prescott due south on the I-17 is Rock Springs Cafe (in Black Canyon City). There you will find one of the best pie bakeries in the world. Not a big pastry/pie person myself but, "top ten" programming usually has them in their list. FYI
