I’ve been lurking around on this site for a long time but for the first time in my adult life I have a porch with just barely enough room for a grill, so I went out and got a Weber kettle and was lucky enough to be gifted a slow n sear. It finally warmed up here the other week and I got a chance to smoke some ribs using meathead’s recipe and they were the some of the best ribs I’ve ever tasted. I’m looking forward to learning more about smoking and someday having some space for a real smoker. I’ll see if I can attach some pictures of what I’ve tried to make so far, there should be some ribs and what the butcher said was tri tip, it didn’t look much like tri tip to me but it made some damn good sandwiches!

New from Chicago
Hey everybody,
I’ve been lurking around on this site for a long time but for the first time in my adult life I have a porch with just barely enough room for a grill, so I went out and got a Weber kettle and was lucky enough to be gifted a slow n sear. It finally warmed up here the other week and I got a chance to smoke some ribs using meathead’s recipe and they were the some of the best ribs I’ve ever tasted. I’m looking forward to learning more about smoking and someday having some space for a real smoker. I’ll see if I can attach some pictures of what I’ve tried to make so far, there should be some ribs and what the butcher said was tri tip, it didn’t look much like tri tip to me but it made some damn good sandwiches!Tags: None
