    Very new to BBQ’ing

Hey all! I’m new here and pretty new to BBQ’ing, but I really enjoy cooking! Any advice for a newbie? Like how and where do I start on my quest to becoming a champion cook!?! Haha thanks

Welcome from Maryland. You have come to the right place to start your quest. Plenty of people who really know their stuff and are willing to share. Good luck on your adventure.

Welcome to the pit from TN. My suggestion would be to take a look at the recipes on the free side, pick something you like, and away you go. I am sure lots of your new AR brethren will be along shortly with more suggestions.

Welcome to the PIT from the LOU! You start by telling us about the cookers that you have, and then what you'll be cooking. There's ways to cook unattended, ways to cook on the spot and tending to the cook constantly, and everything in between.

We tend to be a modified or accessorized cooking group here, sometimes forgetting that a great meal can be made on a cooker straight out of the box. To do that, all you meed is an accurate instant read thermometer to start with, please make that your first purchase - it will protect everything you make from failure.

Now go ahead, light a fire...

Howdy from the Great State of Jefferson! You've come to right place and will learn a ton here. Not a sales pitch, but there's a link for a book to the right of your post that will get you started in the right direction. I bought it a couple of years after I joined and wished I would have right when I joined. Smoke on!

Welcome to the Pit. You are in the right place to learn how to smoke/cook correctly. As JGo37 said, it will help if we know what cooker(s) you have and what you would like to cook. It would also help to know how active you want to be with a cook.
