Exactly one year ago folks in this area were in the middle of "snowmageddon", where we had 18 inches of snow in two days. Just a couple of inches of snow locks our area up tight.
Today we're expected to have record highs around 60 degrees! Perfect for spending the warm winter day outside smoking a couple of pork butts. I started on a Weber bullet and moved to a MAK 2 Star a couple of years ago. Going pellets makes an all nighter a breeze, and the MAK locks the temperature in and I can control with their web control program via my smartphone. So handy.
I cooked up a batch of Meathead's "Best Dam Mustard BBQ Sauce" last night, it's terrific and very much worth a try. The family likes to grill corn tortillas filled with the pulled pork, mustard sauce, and maybe a little cheese and fresh tomato. There's just something amazing about the crispy corn tortilla and the pork filling combination, it's going to be great to get the family together and watch them devour!
