Hello everyone! My name is T.J. and I live in one of the outer boroughs of NYC. Not too much great bbq in these parts, so about 4 years ago I decided to take matters in my own hands. I started with an 18.5" WSM and, of course, AmazingRibs.Com. I've since donated the WSM to a friend new in his bbq journey, and upgraded to a Stumps gravity feed about a year an a half ago. I recently purchased a new MAK 1 Star General and that's all I've been playing with lately. I try to cook every weekend, prefer lump to briquettes, spatchcock to beer can, Alton Brown to Bobby Flay, and never use lighter fluid. If you can't tell, I also listen to the BBQ Central Show amongst other podcasts. Anyway, it's great to be here and I'm happy to finally be a paying member. I felt like I was stealing otherwise; this place has been instrumental in my bbq journey.
