hey amazing ribs family just a update did pork burnt ends for the fist time last sat , one thing the store didnt have pork belly !! so i improvised lesson learned ! they were good but from now on , only going with pork belly, sorry no pics not too proud of first batch ! wife & daughters said they were good love my family for being guinee pigs like the saying goes " fail the first time follow directions the next time " grill on amazing ribs family its how we get better ! happy halloween every one !

hello fellow amazing ribs family pat higgins here just want you all know that ill be not on here for a while due to ill be having open heart surgery on the 17th of july due to being diagnosed w/ aortic stenosis , ill will be having this done at cedars sinia in l.a , so i will be out of comission for a while while i recover from this surgery. im looking forward to being back to my old self & bbqing again by labour day weekend but well see how it goes ? i just want to wish every one a happy rest of summer , keep those bbq's hot & keep rolling that smoke ! meathead just want to say your latest book i cant put down !! so much info in it & i even reference your first book too still ! for good information when i have a bbq ? keep up the good work ! & congrats on 20 yrs of amazing ribs website !!!!. ill be doing 1 last bbq on sunday w/ my wife & 4 daughters - a steak cook off ! looking forward to seeing if i can still cook the better steak or will mywife or daughters knock me off my pedestal ! we do it for fun anyways so if you could keep in yours prayers , i know it should go alright. so for now ill sign off & talk again in a month or 2 take care all pat higgins

Try to start off slowly when you get back to grillin'. Maybe some small sliders before you work your way up to that 1/2 lb burger.
