    Midwest at heart, but Georgia's on my mind...

    Hello everyone!

    Wisconsin born and raised, but currently living in Atlanta. My parents bought a Traeger and when I saw it last time I visited I was blown away with how easy great BBQ could be, so I knew I had to buy my own pellet smoker.

    I've been spoiled as I lived next to Heirloom Market for the past 3 years but I'm putting out some GREAT grub on my Camp Chef Woodwind. I did all my research on this site so I figured I'd join the club.

    So far I've done baby back ribs twice, reverse seared prime ribeye, reverse seared hamburgers twice, and I have two pork butts dry brining outside right now. Can't wait to get those bad boys in tomorrow and to pick up more tips and tricks from you experts.

    Not bad for only a month into the hobby!

        Welcome to The Pit. I suggest you add a chuck roast to your list of cooks. They cook like butts, but normally have to go a bit higher in temp to be probe tender and pullable.

                      Where do you post your cooks? I have some pictures for you that I can upload in this thread, my first cook ever, Ribs via the 3-2-1 method, and reverse seared prime ribeyes!

                        You can start a new thread with your cooks or post them in "show us what your cooking" thread. If you post them there you have a good chance of having them featured in the monthly newsletter.
