Be thankful fer that rain, most everybody's crops have burnt dry, hereabouts..we had a little bit o slow soakin, instead o gully worshin, last few days. First good rainin since early May, with rare showers excepted.

Most folks've done chopped down their corn n beans fer animal fodder, tilled th rest under....

Yeah, we could use some rain here in Oregon - fires, ash, smoke and heat is what we have. Greater than five weeks now since fires were started by lightening storm. Three out of four years now with smoke. The saying here is we now have five seasons: fall, winter, spring, summer, and smoke.
