    South Texas coming online

    Hello to all BBQ enthusiasts! I am trying out the Pitmaster Club. I hope to learn some new methods and recipes. I have an Extra Large Primo for about a year now. It is really versatile as a smoker, grill, or oven. I don’t use my old stand by Weber Kettles much anymore. It’s too much fun experimenting with the Primo. Anyway is there anyone else out there excited about this time of year? Football and BBQ are upon us! Even though it’s still blazing hot here in San Antonio, the pigskin announces the arrival of fall!

      I have to agree with you on the Primo XL. I still give my kettles a workout though.

        that Primo is a machine. I don’t have one (I have a BGE), but I’ve cooked on one and I love it.

        Since you’re new, and if you haven't already done so, please check out our homework assignment post for new members, it contains a few how-tos and please-dos. This will help you learn your way around so you can get the best experience from our forum.

        Also, it's very important that you:

        Give us an email address you actually use. You can check the email we have on file for you by clicking your name in the upper-right, then User Settings, then the Account tab.                             Welcome from your neighbor to the South in Victoria. Joined earlier this year while beginning my first reverse smoker build and can not even describe all of the helpful tips, tidbits, and great people on this Amazing forum...(punn intended). There are so many useful tips that I used while building this thing that you can use, it will take a while to digest. Bought Meathead's book the other day and WOOOOOWWW.. this book will put you over the top with good BBQ. (Full disclosure.. not affiliated in any waywith this book sale.) Here is my end product!                               That is a fancy rig. Do you cook for big groups? Seems you could get lots of meat on there.

                              Yep, Meathead's book is on top of my counter microwave in the Kitchen, so I remember to pick it up and sanity check what I'm doing.
