Brazilian restaurants are becoming more common here and many do a good job, but it definitely isn’t the same.

We have a number of fine churascarias here in Houston !! Brazilians interested in American smoking is interesting because we seem to be interested in open fire cooking !! Sounds like a perfect time to blend the various types !!

Say I have a question, is it spelled Brasil or Brazil ?? Seems those of you from there use the "s" but the rest of use think it's "z". Just curious ....

Oh...portuguese is a very complex language and, like english, letters can have different sounds depending on the position on the word. In "salsa" the s sound's like you're used to but in "Brasil", because there's a vowel before the "s" the sound is like "z"
