Have been an unpaid fan of the site for many years. Currently use a SmokinTex electric smoker, best Father's Day gift in a long time. And yes, I know the opinions here about electric smokers, but it sure makes better BBQ than what I did before I got it. And better than my neighbors' BBQ. Thinking about a pellet smoker for the lake (I'm fundamentally lazy). Everything good I know about BBQ I learned here.

I think the operative word is "lazy." If there's too much work, I just never use it. Thus the electric smoker and the gasser. But...I can see retirement creeping up on me. Maybe then it will be splitting my own wood, etc etc
I think you are the 3rd or 5th person to make a reference to how electric smokers are viewed around here. I am unfamiliar as to how "they" are viewed here, especially if’n its negatory. We are glad to have ya aboard. Keep smokin & grillin, eat good and have fun!
