    Jon here!

Holy pig! I've been on banned! Totally stoked to be on the forum. Looking forward to some great conversation and some smokin good times! (puns intended)

I hail from SE Michigan, l love movies, animals, long walks on the beach. I'm a Moon Child... hehehe

Seriously, I'm an Air Force vet from long ago, have a grown son and a couple of dogs that keep me company. Love to cook on my colection of Webers and thanks to AR I can deliver a pretty good low and slow product to family and friends..

I'm really looking forward to hanging in the Pit

Hey Rick its a bit of a long story but if you do something wrong on a forum you can be "banned", your membership terminated. I was banned earlier in the set up stages of this forum due to technical reasons. ( not that I've ever been banned from a forum : )

Jon - Welcome! We're glad The Pit is finally open and you can get in! Please take a moment to read my welcome letter and tips on how to create your signature. Then kick back and relax

Rick - Jon is making an inside joke. He inadvertently got access a few weeks ago before we went live with the site. He was only in for a matter of minutes, but he wrecked things so bad it took us a month to fix them! lol OK I kid, he didn't wreck things, but he did get in by accident. We're still scratching our heads as to how he found his way in.

That's kind of what I thought, but it didn't completely register since this forum seems relatively new, I haven't noticed a post older than a month...so it didn't seem realistic to think that someone's behavior got them banned, but the ban is already listed. Glad to hear it was a technical issue that's been resolved, with this being essentially a subscription forum I would hope that we can have lively discussion, with many different opinions, yet still keep the trolls away.

just think of it as white hat hacking...

Read the letter but struggling a bit to find the siggy button...

            I'll get it.

Grilla Pellet Smoker proves good things come in small packages

We always liked Grilla. The small 31.5″ x 29.5″ footprint makes it ideal for use where BBQ space is limited, as on a condo patio.

The Cool Kettle With The Hinged Hood We Always Wanted

Napoleon’s 22″ Pro Cart Charcoal Kettle Grill puts a few spins on the familiar kettle design. In fact, the hinged lid with a handle on the front, spins in a rotary motion 180 degrees. It’s hard to beat a Weber kettle, but Napoleon holds its own and adds some unique features to make the 22″ Pro Cart a viable alternative.

This is the first propane smoker with a thermostat, making this baby foolproof. Set ThermoTemp’s dial from 175° to 350°F and the thermostat inside will adjust the burner just like an indoor kitchen oven. All you need to do is add wood to the tray above the burner to start smokin’.
