Hello from the UK. Brisket is so expensive over here... :(

This is just the beginning of my adventure. After many years with charcoal I got myself Louisiana Grills Champion (why go small when you can go big, huh?). That changed everything! Ribs, brisket, corn on the cob, even mushrooms... and I bet these will get even better with time.

PS. That Meathead guy seems to be a clever cookie, doesn't he?

Welcome to the pit (pawel)! We have several UK members already, but there's always plenty room for more!

Since you’re new, and if you haven't already done so, please check out our homework assignment post for new members, it contains a few how-tos and please-dos. This will help you learn your way around so you can get the best experience from our forum.

Also, it's very important that you:

Give us an email address you actually use. You can check the email we have on file for you by clicking your name in the upper-right, then User Settings, then the Account tab. You currently cannot change your email on file with us since it’s tied to your Pitmaster Club account as well as our payment processor, Stripe. Don’t worry though, we’d be happy to change it for you. PM (private message) ”Huskee” with your email change request, or via email at [email protected]

Add the domain AmazingRibs.com to your email safe list. We NEVER spam! This is important so you can receive special deals we occasionally work out for our members, receive notices about your account, such as if you’re up for renewal or are ever drawn as our monthly Gold Medal Giveaway winner, which is open to all paying USA members or those with a USA delivery address (we’d hate to have to pick another person because you don’t answer us)!

        Thanks for joining!

(pawel) Yes, but don't tell Him that! Walking thru doorways will become more challenging for him!

Oh, and welcome from Eastern Washington.

Welcome to the pit. How is the price of pork over there, or lamb? There are plenty of alternatives to brisket and other cuts of beef. Now, I'll probably get stoned by my fellow Texans for saying that.

IIRC I pay about £6 ($8) per kg of baby backs at my local butchers, £2/kg for chicken at Costco. Brisket is around £10 - £11 per KG. That's about $7/lb.

Wife is complaining about my new hobby becoming expensive (meat, gear etc). To that I say "My hobby provides with mouth-watering food. Should I switch to sports cars instead?"
