Hi from VA

Hello everyone!

My name is Josh. I live in Virginia with my wife and 3 boys. I am currently cooking on a 30" Masterbuilt electric smoker that I am completely new to. I have had a ton of fun working out how to make some good meat in the last few weeks. Been trying to pick up what I can from Youtube and various websites. I actually picked up Meathead's book, which has been really great.

I'm a laid back guy, but have a pretty obsessive personality when it comes to hobbies and this may be my new obsession. Seems like this is 2 parts science, 1 part luck, and 1 part art, a very addictive mix. So far, I've been able to make a pretty tender and tasty rack of ribs and a mediocre Boston butt, haha
