Hi - I'm Nate and I'm from Utah. I smoke on a Yoder YS640. Yes, I realize some purists criticize pellet smokers but I absolutely love it. The food is amazing. I have been smoking for about eight years now.
Outside of smoking, I enjoy Packers football, fly fishing, hunting, camping, and anything outdoors.

Hi, my name is Darrell. I'm an OTR truck driver for over 25 years. During my off time I love doing backyard cooks. I have a 48" Lang Deluxe smoker, Rec-Tec pellet smoker,1 Weber Genesis 330, 1 Weber Performer (blue), 2 Weber kettles (1 black and 1 Copper), 1 26" Weber kettle, a WSM, 8 Maverick Redi Chek thermometers, a PartyQ, 2 SnS, Grill Grates, Cast Iron grates, 1 ThermoPop (orange) and 2 ThermoPens (pink and orange) and planning on adding more cooking accessories. Welcome to the Pit! There are differences in cooker from ease of cooking to quality of the food, but the cook makes the cooker. Everyone tends to defend their cooker as the best. I have never cooked on nor tasted food from a pellet cooker, but would love to. I hear good things about the food quality. Cook on and enjoy your food.
