    New member from Indiana

Hi all- glad to have joined The Pit, and looking forward to learning from all of you!

I hail from Cincinnati, and currently live in Indianapolis. I have been grilling for large family events for about 10 years, and really enjoy grilling/smoking whole birds, bone-in rib roasts, and pork shoulders. I love coming to amazingribs.com to learn about the science of cooking- Cooks Illustrated is one of my favorite publications, mostly because of their emphasis on "why," and not just stating the steps to cooking something.

In the next year, I want to explore smoking meats further, as I have mostly been using a 26" Weber kettle for grilling. I hope to buy a pit barrel cooker in the spring, and can't wait to use some of what I read here!
