    New member greetings!
    I live on the southern tip of Vancouver Island and enjoy grilling, smoking, and received a Joule sous vide immersion circulator for xmas. Fascinated how I can work all three together.

      When you have a second, give this thread a once over. There is some important information for you. This information will ensure you get the most out of your experience here in The Pit.

            We have an expanding collection of "sous-vide-que" recipes incorporating SV with live fire. Be sure to watch the Sneak Preview channel for "sneak peek" posts that I'll list periodically, they often contain new recipes and sometimes they're SVQ!

                  Well, it’s easy. All you have to do is rotate the Joulle 4 min a quarter. After turning 4 times, press your fingers & see if there is a little give, if so, it’s done. Welcome aboard, eat good and have fun!

                        Brent Shepherd, Welcome to the Pit! I have lots of great memories of Vancouver Island! I lived in Richmond for about 3.5 or 4 years as a child. (Very young age, pre-K/Kindergarten age) BUT, I still have some VERY close family friends that live in Surrey/North Delta/Vancouver area. Nothing but great people and great information here! Looking forward to seeing you around the pit!
