Hello, I am very excited to be part of this group. I am sure there is a lot I can learn from all the people in here and improve my BBQ greatly. I came to Kansas from Czech Republic (Europe) three years ago and was amazed by the bbq that is produced here - I tell you there is nothing like that where I came from.
I bought WSM (18'') and started to learn how to do simple stuff (pulled pork) first. Eventually I moved to ribs. Brisket is still something I am not able to smoke with good results, but I am learning. Along the way I bought FlameBoss 200 and it really helped me to keep the temperature steady and to get some sleep for long cooks.
At the beginning of this year, I bought BX50 from MeadowCreek. This is a big smoker for big boys and I am planning on having this for the rest of my life, eventually bringing it back to Czech republic.
I would love to join at least one BBQ competition before I leave USA.
