    Checking in from MD

Hey fellow pitmasters. I guess at this point I'm a Pitmaster-To-Be. About a year and a half ago we sold our condo in VA and moved to an apartment at we rent in MD. I had a Weber Q at the former place and patio grills are illegal at our current apartment. We're in the market for a home next spring and I'm looking to make up for lost time by picking a solid grill. Figured I'd get a head start and learn more about the options. Right now, I'm leaning toward either a Weber Performer Deluxe 22" or a PK Grills Classic, but still learning. Any preferences or thoughts?

Welcome to the Pit! I have 4 Weber kettles that I use to smoke and grill, using a Slow 'N Sear from abcbarbecue.com. Love this setup. I have no experience with a PK.

Thanks! I've had a smaller kettle in the past but never learned how to slow cook or smoke on it. I was eyeing the slow n sear as well! Thanks!

Welcome from northern Virginia! I also have Weber Kettles and in my opinion they are a great product for grilling and smoking.

            Welcome from another Northern Virginian.

I've had various size Weber's for years. Since getting the 26" and SnS, I rarely fire up my Weber smoker.

Saw a Weber 26" in the store the other day, and fell in love! THanks!

Welcome to The Pit. I love my Weber kettle and SnS, but I wouldn't mind giving a PK Grill a try.

Welcome! Where about in MD do you hail from? The bulk of my childhood growing up was lived in Annapolis...

I live and work in Rockville. Annapolis is one of my favorite places in the state. I take my boys to a Navy FB game every year.

My parents moved to Annapolis in 1979 - I've had season tickets to Navy Football almost every year since... Driving up tomorrow to the campground we like in College Park, then to the Navy-SMU game on Saturday.

Welcome from Wiinipeg. The kettle/SNS is an awesome combination. I have tried a PK but they get good reviews.
