Hi;
My name is Patrick. I love grilling ever since I was in the service as a young man. I learned a lot of things the hard way, especially cooking chicken. After many cooks of burnt and raw chicken I finally figured out the magic of indirect heat and low and slow. But what blew me away was Steve Raichlen's tips in the BBQ Bible and I took it to a whole new level when a coworker told me about this site and a whole new vista opened up for me. I will be officially retired soon taking care of my wife, and I find this to be a very productive hobby considering I can now cook healthy meals ahead of time on the weekends. I currently have a Grilla Grill smoker and an Akorn smoker since I love cooking with charcoal (minus cleanup). I'm learning something new every cook and am enjoying it very much. Cooking with smokers and pellet grills allows me to pretty well set it and forget as long as I have the thermometers in. THanks for having an awesome resource for guys like me to use.
