Hi Everyone! I stumbled on this website and instantly knew it right for me, so I joined. I have been cooking for more years than I care to mention. I like to venture into specialty areas; my last being Asian cooking. Sweet and Sour baby-back ribs finished on the grill, being one of my favorite dishes that I invented. But, I am convinced I can improve on my technique to make them over the top. I decided that this summer I begin learning as much as I can about grilling and smoking. But, my old grill and smoker are on their last leg and it is time to start fresh; so why not amp up my skills in that area. I have been studying your ratings and reviews. What a help! I just bought my first duel thermometer for the grill and food. (Well, a girl has to start somewhere)! I am leaning towards getting a gas weber as I love our little portable gas weber we take camping, and I owned a charcoal kettle years ago and it always did a good job.
I am getting excited to make my first Easter ham on the grill (verses the oven) with that wonderful sounding "spicy apricot glaze". I am so glad spring is finally here and it is grilling season; as I have the bug in a big way! Let the learning begin, and the smell of grilling and smoking drift your way from Colorado! Raelene
