Hi All,
New member here from the Minneapolis area. I have been poking around the website since late last summer, learning tons, and recently decided to jump in with a membership!
I'm relatively new to the grilling/smoking world. I got a weber kettle as a wedding present a few years ago, and just poked around with it. Late last summer, I added a slow and sear to it, which greatly improved my results (and increased my enthusiasm!). I just took the plunge and ordered an 18 inch WSM, a replacement door from Cajunbandit to help seal it up, and an Auber SYL-1615SYS-W to assist with temp control, which should all be arriving in the next week or so. It should be a smokey summer indeed! I'd eventually like to learn the WSM well enough to go without the Auber temp controller, but I have a 10 month old at home and twins on the way, so my time to dedicate to it may be a bit limited over the next few years!
I'm excited to be a part of the community here! Lot's of good dialog, lot's of help and suggestions offered, and none of the annoyances you usually see in forums where people tangent off the discussion to nitpick responses, trash talk, or criticise!
Thanks!
