Hi,
I just joined and have been visiting the site for a while now. My grilling has been on gas for a long time and I just purchased a Weber 22" performer kettle and looking forward to learning to use. I'll order the Slow N Sear in the next day or so. I need a kettle and meat thermometer and have read the reviews here. Still confused on whether to get a smoke or maverick. I'm not sure if I'll need more than 1 meat probe.
Look forward to learning more.

Welcome to The Pit. Having used a Maverick in the past, and now using Thermoworks and CyberQ, I'd go with the Smoke. People here say it's much easier to set up and it comes factory calibrated. Some here have had problems with the Smoke, but Thermoworks has some of the best customer service around. Just call them and they will make it right.
If you want to save a few bucks, a pair of Thermoworks Dots would be cheaper, but without the remote access and with less functionality.
