Hi all. I've been hanging around here for a few years but haven't gotten around to introducing myself. I'm originally from Colorado - haven't stopped missing the front range especially Colorado Springs. I've lived near Salt Lake City Utah for the last 15 years.
I'm a fan of pellet smokers. I cooked with a bullet smoker for several years, but did so infrequently due to the hassle. I bought a hot tub a few years ago and received a small Traeger pellet smoker with the purchase. I fell in love with that smoker due to its simplicity. My current smoker is a Cabela's brand. I turn out some delicious brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and chicken using recipes and techniques I've learned here on AR. I grill my steaks, burgers, and brats on my Weber Genesis. That is a solid workhorse grill that's priced right.
I'm eyeing the Yoder YS640 when the time comes to replace my Cabela's smoker. I'll run this smoker until repair costs, when they happen, don't make sense anymore. For now, it's mostly working well.
Thanks for the terrific website and all the help from the moderators and members here.
